A little bit about me:
Elie Cole is a San Diego native, but having lived and studied in Central America, South Asia, and West Africa, she has many homes and families. Elie graduated from a traveling university called Global College, a part of Long Island University. Never having stepped foot on the New York campus, she earned her Bachelor degree in Social Change while traveling around the world.
She decided she wanted to change the world one patient at a time so she went to Chinese medical school. Many people are unaware that an acupuncturist is required to complete a four-year post-graduate degree. An acupuncturist’s education is devoted to scientific subjects such as: anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, public health diagnosis, clinical disciplines and health sciences, in addition to the study of acupuncture and herbology.
What we put into our mouths has an effect on everything that we feel and experience in our body, mind, and, I would argue, even our spirit. It is common for my Paleo students to get off their blood pressure drugs as well as their cholesterol drugs after eating Paleo for 30-60 days or more. Their doctors often say, “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it!”
