Dr. Fox responds to the following article.
We are starting to see some mainstream coverage of the LCHF approach. Here the gloves are off and the truth is uncovered. Very telling what we continue to see from the American Diabetes Association: nothing. Would make a great post. What goes unspoken in this post is the prevention piece. As children enter puberty and even before (3rd to 6th grade), the evidence is usually there. Weight gain (fat gain) with increased skin fold thickness and belly fat deposition begins. Children who exhibit this are the ones who go on to be overweight and diabetic. They essentially are “early pre diabetic.” So why are we waiting, waiting for illness to strike? Start now at any age, preferably in early childhood or even from birth. Start the LCHF diet and prevent even the earliest negative changes to metabolism. If it’s good for pre-diabetics, it’s good for all people! Stay well, eat LCHF.
